What courses do we offer?

Our motorsport engineering degrees will help you become a design engineer for the motorsport industry, as we work with the local and global motorsport industry to shape course content.The courses have the right balance of theory with practical, hands-on experience, to create highly employable students and graduates, able to hit the ground running from day one at their placement or graduate job in the motorsport environment.

During your studies, you will have full access to our specialist laboratories, which double as your research and learning spaces. And with a focus on electric vehicles, you will be prepared for the future of work in this profession, using our industry-standard facilities, including the High Voltage Energy Storage lab, driving simulator, IC and electric dynos, 4-post rig, composite manufacturing and our virtual reality space. You can explore your interests and topic of your capstone project through research groups and extracurricular activities like Formula Student. Our courses are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

What motorsport opportunities do we offer?

Many Formula One and Formula E teams are in the UK’s motorsport valley, near Oxford and you will have unrivalled access to this industry. Speakers will visit and share up to date insight on what’s going on in motorsport. You can apply their experience and expertise in technology, production and management to your projects. Our highly acclaimed Formula Student teams, Oxford Brookes Electric, will be open to you to pursue your passion and prepare you for the motorsport industry.
