The I.N.D.Y. 25 programme is a free, curriculum-based competition for Scotland’s primary and secondary students to design a vehicle or reimagine a public transport system addressing real-world sustainability and mobility challenges.
The Institute of the Motor Industry and the Scottish Motor Trade Association have launched the I.N.D.Y. 25 programme: a free competition for all primary and secondary schools in Scotland. This programme inspires young people to explore careers in motorsports while supporting educators in delivering careers information and advice. Aligned with the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence, I.N.D.Y. 25 empowers students to make informed choices about their futures.

Reimagine: Design a new form of public transport (secondary) or vehicle (primary)
Plan and Pitch: A marketing campaign to launch your new product
Projects are judged by industry experts, with prizes and real-world work placements available. Entries open in Autumn, with judging in Spring, and winners announced soon after.
