Who are we?

Experience Motorsport is run by a qualified teacher, working alongside his son who is a Motorsport UK coach. Together, they design and deliver interactive motorsport-themed education days for schools and youth groups, using bespoke kits, simulators and practical challenges.

The programme educates young people through motorsport by bringing real-world engineering, teamwork and problem-solving into the classroom. Sessions are inclusive, flexible and designed to support a wide range of learning outcomes, from engineering and sustainability to soft skills such as communication, resilience and teamwork. Experience Motorsport works closely with schools and youth groups delivering hands-on STEM and careers engagement events.

What do we do?

Experience Motorsport delivers STEM-focused school and youth events, offering both full day and half day sessions, with minimum of 20 and up to 50 students per half day (100 students per full day). Following an introductory talk, students are divided into six groups and carousel around a series of interactive activities. Sessions are highly adaptable and can be tailored to focus on engineering and STEM pathways, sustainability, careers and roles within motorsport and soft skills development.

Each session lasts 20–25 minutes, with 8 students per group. Learning materials are provided for each activity, supervising staff are fully briefed in advance, and professional driver coaching is provided for simulator sessions.

Activities include:

  • Racing simulators: exploring driving techniques and data analysis
  • Scalextric challenge: investigating electric circuits and control systems
  • Cutaway engine: understanding how engines function in practice
  • Micro:bit reaction test: applying coding, sequencing and problem-solving
  • Pit stop challenge: teamwork and hands-on engineering under time pressure
  • Marketing design task: developing creativity, communication and commercial thinking

As well as school events, Experience Motorsport also delivers youth events, summer youth engagement programmes and activations, supporting broader participation across education and motorsport.

Sessions are fully flexible to suit curriculum needs, organisational priorities and available dates.
